Express Entry System

Express Entry is a points-based immigration system designed to select skilled workers for permanent residence, contributing to Canada’s economic growth and diversity. Candidates create an online profile, and points are awarded based on factors such as age, education, work experience, language proficiency, etc.

To enhance the alignment of immigration with labor force requirements, IRCC has implemented Express Entry category-based regular selection draws. The targeted categories identified by IRCC consist of high-demand occupations in 5 distinct fields –

  • Health,
  • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
  • Trading
  • Agriculture

Alert! The following occupations encompass the widely used job titles as per the list provided by IRCC. For a complete list, we recommend consulting a recognized Canadian immigration consultant.
