Canada opened its borders to fully vaccinated tourists on September 7, 2021. This means that travelers who have received their Canada-approved vaccine are free to enter the country.
Travelers should have received two doses of either the Pfizer, Moderna, or AstraZeneca vaccine, or one dose of the Janssen vaccine. Any other vaccine is currently not acceptable in Canada. Also, these vaccines should have been received at least 14 days before travelling to Canada.
The travelers, however, will need to show a pre-arrival COVID-19 molecular test result, even if fully vaccinated. They will also need to show proof of their vaccination, and must not have any symptoms of the virus.
Until further updates, travelers from India will still need to halt at a third country, where they will need to take a COVID-19 test, before continuing with their Canada journey.
